Starting at $15.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials.


Performs daily cleaning tasks and janitorial services for patient and resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with facility standards and objectives.



Perform all environmental services-related tasks demonstrating service orientation to patients, family members, guests, and staff.

Perform basic cleaning functions in assigned areas (job duty) following established schedules and using prescribed methods:

  1. Dusts horizontal surfaces
  2. Empties wastebaskets, removes waste, relines baskets
  3. Damp wipe and disinfect all furniture
  4. Cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms
  5. Mops floors of rooms and offices
  6. Spot cleans walls and windows
  7. Polishes metal surfaces
  8. Replenishes room supplies
  9. Cleans patient rooms or dismissal as assigned
  10. Vacuums carpets; extract spots as needed (if required)
  11. Transports soiled linen to central collection point
  12. Clean and disinfect bathrooms


Perform heavier cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods:

  1. Dust and wet mop floors
  2. Scrub floors with appropriate equipment
  3. Vacuum and extract carpets for cleaning and bacteria control with industrial vacuum/extractor
  4. Transport waste from utility rooms and other collection points and dispose of waste by placement in proper holding area
  5. Cycle clean vents, light fixtures and windows
  6. Cycle clean ceilings and walls
  7. Measure and mix cleaning chemicals
  8. Assist in cleaning of emergency spills when observed or upon request
  9. Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommends repairs as needed
  10. Observe and report the general need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
  11. In case of fire or other internal disaster, assists in evacuating ambulatory patients and residents when called upon
  12. Perform all other tasks which may be assigned




High School Diploma or GED required.
