  • Overview

    Food service cooking experience required. We are looking for a team player, someone agreeable to following our Standards of Behavior and providing the best possible service for our customers. We are looking for someone who can efficiently multi-task, is honest, reliable, and compassionate.




    Performs the essential, daily duties assigned to early or late cook at Henry County Health Center.

    Responsibilities


    1. To prepare nutritious, appealing, meals for the residents, patients, customers, and associates of HCHC.

    2. To read and follow standardized recipes as mandated by State and Federal Regulations.

    3. To follow special diet guidelines outlined in the Simplified Diet Manual to assure those on special diets receive the correct foods.

    4. To follow HACCP and handwashing guidelines for maintaining food safety.

    5. To provide leadership for the Food Service Tech II when the FSD and FSA are absent.

    Qualifications

     


     


    Associate in this position must demonstrate the ability to



    1. Read and understand English in order to perform the essential functions of this position

    2. Supervise food service staff in the absence of the director and food production supervisor

    3. Maintain our associate values when faced with time restraints and customers concerns

    4. Operate a point of sale system, and use basic math to count change back to customers, and reconcile cash drawer at the end of the day

    5. Be able to multi-task with efficiency


     


    Education and experience required



    1. High School Diploma

    2. One to three years of food service experience


     


    Annual requirements, licensure, and certification



    1. Must complete the HCHC core education modules for foodservice.

    2. Must complete annual Food Safety Training In-Service.


     


    Machines, tools, equipment and work aids



    1. Ovens, steamer, blender, microwave, grill, fryer, and general commercial kitchen equipment
