Promote, maintain and improve staff performance and community health by assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Collect and analyze data to identify educational needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to improve staff performance and encourage healthy lifestyles in the community. Also serves as a resource to assist leaders, other professionals, and the community. Administers fiscal resources for education programs.
Facilitates, directs and coordinates the designing, planning, implementing and evaluating of educational programs and performance improvement activities. Ensures that such programs promote professional growth and competency of staff, learning needs of patients and families, and the attainment of the organization’s strategic goals. Ensures that educational programs are consistent with criteria and standards of care established by licensing, accrediting bodies and professional organizations. Coordinates orientation/clinical experiences for all staff within the organization. Coordinates tracking of organization-wide educational/safety programs.
Responsible to develop, coordinate, instruct and evaluate educational programs for Henry County Health Center’s Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) Administration, general nursing orientation, annual competencies, nurse education/informatics council, Preceptor program, and NetLearning administration. Collaborates with department directors in providing initial orientation for clinical personnel. Collaborates with Human Resources director in development of general hospital orientation for all new associates.
